Policy Futures in Education released “Henry Giroux on Youth Cultural Studies and Critical Pedagogy” late last year.
Giroux is currently Global TV Network Chair in English and Cultural Studies at McMaster University in Canada. His work frequently criticizes the synthesis of neoliberalism and education and its implications for democratic politics. Giroux frequently contributes to Truth-Out.org.
For those who can’t access the article through their university (or who don’t attend a university), the introduction is open to all users. Titled “Why Read Giroux”, it serves as a good introduction for the uninitiated reader. Read “Why Read Giroux” for free.
Policy Futures in Education also published an issue in 2011 dedicated to Gilles Deleuze and pedagogy.
